Welcome to the 2026 NFL season, Houston Texans fans.
On Tuesday morning, players officially reported to the Methodist Training Center next to Reliant Stadium for the start of training camp this summer. The first practice is scheduled for Wednesday, when general manager Nick Caserio will meet with the media to discuss all the moves made this offseason.
The practices will be open to the public starting next week.
For the most part, the Texans are in great shape entering the 2026 season. Nine starters return from the No. 1 defense a season ago, including All-Pro defensive end Will Anderson Jr. and Pro Bowler Danielle Hunter. There will be some competition for the offensive line, especially at center and left guard, but Houston should feel like this is the most complete roster under DeMeco Ryans since taking over as head coach in 2023.
As players arrive, there are currently 91 names looking to make it past the final cutdown day. It’ll be up to the Texans’ staff to trim the group down to 53 ahead of the season opener against the Buffalo Bills.
