Geelong has made a major call on captain Patrick Dangerfield while another star is still missing for its top-six decider against Collingwood.

The Cats have managed Dangerfield off a six-day break, choosing to bring crafty forward Jack Martin into the side, with Sam De Koning still missing after being a late out (illness) from the side that beat Melbourne last week.
Dangerfield looked sore but played out the game with coach Chris Scott saying the club hadn’t made up its mind heading into Tuesday’s training session, in which the 36-year-old appeared.
De Koning’s absence will mean the Cats again rely on Mitch Edwards and Mark Blicavs as their main ruck duo.
Meanwhile the Magpies have made just one change with Brayden Maynard expected to miss the next month after surgery on the muscles around his knee and hamstring.
Lachie Schultz is surprisingly back to replace Maynard, less than three weeks after suffering a syndesmosis injury.
As floated by coach Craig McRae, Jordan De Goey has been named despite a viral illness but is no certainty to play, while Darcy Cameron holds his spot despite being sore off a short break and travel.
The rest of the Round 21 teams will be announced Thursday 6:20pm.
