NEW ORLEANS — ULM will officially open the 2025 Sun Belt football season when it hosts Saint Francis at 7:00 p.m. ET/6:00 p.m. CT on Thursday, August 28, on ESPN+. 
 
The opener against the Red Flash will be the first-ever meeting between the two programs. 
 
ULM’s non-conference slate also features road trips to Alabama (Sept. 6), UTEP (Sept. 20) and Northwestern (Oct. 4). Alongside annual dates with their West Division rivals, the Warhawks will visit Coastal Carolina (Oct. 11) and host Old Dominion (Nov. 1) from the Sun Belt East Division. 
 
The Warhawks were picked seventh in the Sun Belt West Division in last month’s 2025 Sun Belt Conference Football Preseason Coaches Poll. 
 
Second-year head coach Bryant Vincent will lead a team that brings back six All-Sun Belt picks from 2024 and had one player named to the 2025 Preseason All-Sun Belt teams. 

ULM opened the 2024 season 5-1—its best start since its 1987 national championship season—before finishing 5-7, its best overall mark since 2019. The Warhawks are in pursuit of their first winning season and bowl appearance since 2012.
