The password is “chemistry” because Keke Palmer and Hot Ones host Sean Evans have continued to generate buzz among those rooting for their happily ever after. And now, the Password host has opened up about the two’s instant connection we’ve seen after every interview, meet-up, or encounter they’ve had.
On the July 28 episode of The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, Palmer sat down with her Password co-host to talk about her new audio series, her son Leo, and Season 3 of Password. During their chat, Jimmy Fallon couldn’t help but bring up Palmer and Evans’ chemistry, which has had fans crossing their fingers for a potential match.

The evidence for a happy pairing is obvious: Palmer and Evans are both currently single, and with each meeting, their infectious banter and flirtatious rapport continue to fuel hopes that they will date someday. After Fallon told Palmer that fans love her with the Hot Ones host, she opened up about that connection.
“I love Sean. He’s a great guy,” Palmer said.
“And you guys hit it off, and everyone’s like, ‘You should date. You should date!” Fallon commented.
“Yes, yes, it’s so funny because I feel like we knew that we had chemistry from the first Hot Ones,” Palmer confirmed. “You know, you do interviews and, as a performer, you know you’re being present, but you don’t always get that energy back. And I think he feels the same.”
Palmer concluded, “So when we were doing that first Hot Ones together, it was like bing-boom-bing-boom. You know what I mean? And then now everybody’s like, ‘Don’t you see?!'”

Fallon isn’t the only one curious about whether the rumors that Palmer and Evans might be dating are true. During Palmer’s July 26 appearance on TODAY, hosts Jenna Bush Hager and Sheinelle Jones chatted with Palmer about her budding connection with Evans, confirming that their chemistry wasn’t smoke and mirrors for the cameras.
“Our chemistry is genuine. I couldn’t force that if I [tried],” Palmer revealed. “We always felt that chemistry.”
When asked about the public’s support for a Keke Palmer/Sean Evans romance on social media, Palmer laughed over the overwhelming response and demand for a first date.
“I was gagged that everybody was ready to marry me off,” Palmer teased. “Guys, let him cook! They married your girl off in two seconds. That was crazy.”

Palmer went on to refer to Evans as her “work husband,” sharing that after meeting Evans through work, she has been shocked by the internet’s desire to see such swift progress.
“I mean, for us, it was like, you know, it’s life. Essentially, we met at work. Work husband, work wife, you just have that chemistry with people. Then we hang out. And then for people to — they write the story before you can live it. I see somebody at the airport, I’m going through TSA, [They’re like] ‘So girl, what’s going on with you?’ Girl, you got to let time pass! This just happened yesterday! It’s like this thing where it’s so interesting. It’s so parasocial the world we live in now.”
