FC Bayern Munich officially signed American forward Miles Norris to a two-year contract through 2028 after his first full European season with FC Barcelona.

The German EuroLeague club announced that Norris has signed a two-year contract that will keep him in Munich through the summer of 2028.
The 26-year-old can play at both forward positions and joins Bayern after spending his first full European season with FC Barcelona.
Bayern sporting director Thorsten Leibenath said the club believes Norris still has significant room to develop while already possessing the qualities required to help the team immediately.
“We are looking for players who can still progress in their development and at the same time possess the quality to substantially strengthen our team—we see this combination in Miles,” Leibenath said.
“His athleticism will ensure that we speed up our game, and his good long-range shooting will create space.”
New Bayern head coach Anton Gavel also welcomed the addition, highlighting Norris’ ability to contribute on both ends of the floor.
“We are happy that Miles has chosen us,” Gavel said.”“He will enter his second year in European basketball with more experience and take a step forward.
“Above all, his athleticism and shooting will help us open up the court. He will give us offensive input and also make an impact defensively with his versatility.”

Norris eager to take next step in Munich
Norris described Bayern as an excellent opportunity to further establish himself at the highest level of European basketball.
“Bayern is a big organization, a very professionally run club in the top league,” Norris said. “I want to try to help the team win at this very highest level.
“I’ve already spoken with the coach about the club, the city and basketball. It was a very good conversation, and everything sounds promising.
“Bayern is an excellent opportunity for me to take my game to the next level in my second year in Europe and showcase my abilities.”
The American forward believes his combination of shooting and athleticism will allow him to provide Bayern with additional offensive versatility.
“I think I can use my assets to widen the court, with my three-pointer and the option to drive athletically to the basket and dunk,” Norris added. “I want to deliver the high-energy plays for Bayern.”

Norris arrives after Barcelona season
Norris spent the 2025-26 campaign with Barcelona, where he served primarily as a rotation option behind players such as Tornike Shengelia.
In the EuroLeague, he averaged 4.0 points and 2.6 rebounds in 12 minutes per game.
He received a larger role in the Spanish ACB, averaging 6.8 points and 3.6 rebounds in approximately 20 minutes while converting 37.5% of his three-point attempts.
His time in Barcelona came to an end following a disappointing season in which the Catalan club failed to reach the EuroLeague playoffs and subsequently made significant changes to its roster.
Previous NBA and G League experience
Before moving to Europe, Norris put together two productive seasons in the G League.
He averaged 17.0 points, 5.5 rebounds and shot 38.6% from the three-point range across 36 appearances for the Memphis Hustle.
That production earned him an opportunity with the Boston Celtics, for whom he made three NBA appearances in April 2025.
Norris began his professional career with the College Park Skyhawks, averaging 11.6 points per game, before making his first move overseas with Turkish club Bodrum in April 2024.
During his college career, Norris initially played for Oregon before developing into a key contributor at UC Santa Barbara.
In his final college season, he averaged 14.1 points and converted 39.1% of his three-pointers.
Norris will also reunite with Bayern guard Duane Washington, whom he already knows from previous workouts and games against each other in the United States.
