Ben Affleck has taken home the top prize on Who Wants to Be a Millionaire with the help of Jeopardy! champion Jamie Ding.
The duo teamed up to successfully secure $US1 million (approximately $1.4 million) to go toward Affleck’s Easter Congo Initiative.

Affleck joins the ranks of only four other teams who have won the quiz show during host Jimmy Kimmel’s tenure, one of which includes close friend and Good Will Hunting co-star, Matt Damon.
Damon walked away a winner in 2025, paired with Jeopardy! host Ken Jennings. David Chang became the first winner under Kimmel in November 2020, followed by celebrity pair Ike and Alan Barinholtz in August 2024, Damon and Jennings in July 2025, and The Office stars Oscar Nunez and Kate Flannery in September 2025.
For their final question, Affleck and Ding were asked to answer which turkeys were not given a pardon by a U.S. president, with four multiple choice pairings to choose from.
Unsure of the answer themselves, they used a lifeline to ask Kimmel, who wasn’t entirely sure but guessed D: Turkey and Meatball.
Not ready to leave it up to chance the pair then used another lifeline to phone a friend, calling up Ding’s longtime trivia teammate Stephen Morrison, who also was not sure of the answer and chose not to guess.
Left with little options, Affleck said he “would bet on Jimmy,” and the pair decided to lock in D: Turkey and Meatball.
Waiting for the computer to reveal the answer, Kimmel joked he had “such a stomach ache” from the pressure, which was ultimately relieved when the answer was revealed to be correct.

Ding and Affleck looked genuinely shocked before jumping for joy, hugging one another to celebrate.
The pair were announced as contestants on July 9, and Affleck was prepared to do the show regardless of his pairing.

“I’m not sure Ben knew that he was paired with a champion when he agreed to do the show,” Kimmel told Variety.
“But when I told him, he seemed surprised and delighted. I think he was prepared to do it on his own. He’s very smart, that Ben Affleck.”
