Country star Megan Moroney broke down in tears as she cancelled her latest concert in Denver mid-show, leaving thousands of fans disappointed.
The 28-year-old singer cut her Tuesday evening set short after performing just three songs at the Colorado city’s Ball Arena.
“This is obviously the last thing I ever want to do, but I am obviously extremely sick, and I thought I did everything to make myself better,” Moroney said.
“But, obviously, two songs in, I just can’t play this show tonight. I will make it up to you guys. I promise I’ll be back.”
As she continued her statement, a chorus of boos could be heard from the audience as she explained her decision to end the show.
“I want to give you guys the show you deserve, I’m probably going to go cry in my dressing room now,” she said, pausing to wipe tears away from her face.
“This is like, my worst nightmare. I promise to make it up to you guys 10 times. I love you, and I’m really sorry.”
Fans were then seen leaving the concert in droves as a statement was put out on social media to confirm the news.
“Megan is unable to continue her performance this evening due to illness, and we must end the show at this time,” Ball Arena said in a statement posted to social media, adding that it would “provide further updates as soon as possible.”
Moroney is currently in the middle of her Cloud 9 Tour and is scheduled to perform in Portland, Oregon, on Saturday, and Seattle on Sunday.
In a later statement posted to her Instagram Story, Moroney announced that the show would be rescheduled for August 27th. She also said that fans who are unable to make the new date would be given full refunds.
Meanwhile, back in 2024, Moroney admitted she’s hooked up with a private A-lister on Alex Cooper’s Call Her Daddy podcast.
Moroney confessed on the podcast that there’s some truth to the reports that she used to date A-lister Morgan Wallen.
