Jared Leto’s career could be “completely done” following a fresh batch of chilling accusations that were made against him this week.
On Wednesday, Leto denied allegations of sexual assault and harassment levelled against him by ten women in a new documentary aired by the BBC.
The women said they were victimised by Leto between 2002 and 2016.
Two of them accused him of sexual assault when they were 17 years old, while another said the actor threatened her with sexual assault when she was 19.
A fourth woman recounted receiving multiple sexually explicit phone calls from the actor when she was 16, who allegedly propositioned her for sex.
Four other women described sexual harassment during phone calls from the lead singer of the rock band Thirty Seconds to Mars.
Now, Hollywood insiders are claiming that the star’s career in the industry is close to being “completely done”.
“Jared’s career in film, TV and on stage with his music is very much in trouble,” a source told the Daily Mail. “He might be completely done, and he knows it. It is scary for him right now.”
They continued: “He knows that he is now in territory where people aren’t going to work with him, and his career trajectory is now forever hampered with these allegations.”
According to the industry source, Hollywood execs are likely to turn their backs on the star rather than putting their necks on the line to continue hiring him, even though he has maintained his innocence.
“Jared is devastated,” the source continued. “These accusations are brutal and something that nobody would ever want to deal with.”
The actor, who won a Best Supporting Actor Oscar in 2014 for Dallas Buyers Club, has faced such accusations before.
In 2025, several other women accused him of sexual assault in an investigation conducted by Air Mail, a US digital magazine. At the time, Leto also denied any inappropriate conduct.
Since the fresh allegations emerged, a former colleague of Leto’s claimed the star is “horrible” to work with behind-the-scenes.
“He was a horrible vibe while working with him and he made people uncomfortable. It was really hard to talk to him, if he even tried to talk to us,” a man told Page Six.
The source alleged that Leto also had several extreme requests for his crew members, like asking assistants to “hold open doors and his cape” for him, tasks that one could easily do themselves.
