Michael Oliveira left little to the imagination earlier today (Sat., Aug. 1, 2026) at UFC Belgrade LIVE on Paramount+ from inside Belgrade Arena in Belgrade, Serbia, as the Brazilian newcomer laid waste to welterweight Oban Elliott with a vicious first-round knockout (punches).

Despite making his first Octagon appearance on Saturday, Oliveira was the betting favorite and there was a reason why. The hulking welterweight came into this weekend with an undefeated pro record of 9-0, including eight knockout stoppages (six of which occurred in the first round). Elliott has found some success over the course of his UFC tenure, but this was supposed to be Oliveira’s coming out party.

Unfortunately for Elliott, Oliveira showed no signs of UFC jitters as his hands got busy early on. This forced Elliott to quickly change levels just 90 seconds into the fight, but his takedown attempt was thwarted by Oliveira. A few moments later Oliveira uncorked a brutal right hand that sent Elliott to the canvas. Oliveira followed up with heavy punches — with one or two landing to the back of the head — and eventually forced the referee’s hand. Elliott was pretty banged up.
