THE Friday sprint at the bp Adelaide Grand Final will again be the richest race on the 2026 Supercars calendar.
As per last year, a $50,000 bounty will be put up by Mega Rewards for the winner of the 100km contest, to be held on November 27.
“While the Grand Final format will again see four drivers battling for the Supercars title, the $50,000 prize gives every driver on the grid something to fight for on Friday,” said Mega Rewards chief operating officer Andrew Potter.
Adelaide Grand Final event director Shaun Bennetts said: “To see the prize return in 2026 means fans will be treated to high stakes and high commitment from drivers and teams from the get-go.
“While one out of the four Grand Finalists will win the championship on Sunday every driver on the grid is a chance to take home the $50,000 on Friday.
“We can’t wait to see the Supercars field fight it out on the famous streets of Adelaide.”
Supercars interim CEO Barclay Nettlefold added: “The $50,000 prize gives drivers a reason to attack from the opening race, and on the unforgiving streets of Adelaide, that can only add to the pressure, intensity and spectacle for fans.
“Concepts like this are why the South Australian Government and South Australian Motor Sport Board have made brilliant hosts of the Supercars Grand Final.”
This year’s event could be the last using the popular Adelaide Parklands layout, with tweaks expected to be made to the Supercars track to accommodate the new-for-2027 MotoGP street race in the South Australian capital.
