Huijser recently parted ways with the Blanchard Racing Team after a 15-month stint, during which he was credited for improving the squad’s car preparation.
He has been recruited by Team 18 to manage its wildcard program and is at The Bend today as Bayley Hall prepares for his Ipswich debut.
Huijser previously worked at Team 18 from 2022-2024, starting as crew chief and spending a stint as team manager.
Team 18 has this year taken over the Supercheap Auto wildcard program from Triple Eight following the powerhouse squad’s switch to Ford.
Hall will make his Supercars debut with a wildcard in the Sprint Cup finale at Ipswich this month before tackling the Enduro Cup alongside Craig Lowndes.

The Supercheap Camaro is being engineered by veteran Richard Hollway, who is also guiding Hall’s Super2 Series campaign with Eggleston Motorsport.
Hall tested at The Bend with his Super2 Commodore on Thursday, during which Lowndes had a cameo steer.
Also testing at The Bend today are rookies Rylan Gray (Dick Johnson Racing), Jackson Walls (Triple Eight), Zach Bates (Matt Stone Racing) and Jayden Ojeda (PremiAir Racing).
Walkinshaw TWG Racing is also present with its Toyota Supra, which is being shared by Chaz Mostert and Ryan Wood.
