STILLWATER – Oklahoma State’s football coach Eric Morris, along with 35 players, met with the media on Saturday morning at the annual Oklahoma State Football Media Day.
The day began with a news conference with Morris, which can be seen in its entirety here:
Following the news conference, media were given access to the Cowboy players for nearly an hour. The player representation included quarterback Drew Mestemaker, running back Caleb Hawkins and multiple other key pieces to the squad.
“Our mantra this year is we call ourselves ‘misfits,'” Morris said. “We have a bunch of people from different situations. Some are coming off really positive situations where they were great players that got recruited at a high level that hadn’t gone through that before. Then you look at Wyatt (Young), Caleb (Hawkins) and Drew (Mestemaker), those guys didn’t get recruited out of high school and then all of the sudden they have a great season, they produce at a high level and then they have blue bloods all over the country calling them.”
