A double shoey is on the cards for Brisbane’s Desley Robinson if she takes victory tonight in Florida.
“Definitely. We’re thinking about a double shoey tonight, so we might do two,” she laughed on the ESPN coverage before her upcoming fight.
“Look, I’m ready for whatever she’s (Tamm Thibeault) going to bring. Obviously, she can’t bring her high heels in the fight, so she’s not going to be too much taller than me in there.
“But yeah, I think the styles make a good fight. Obviously, I’m a pressure fighter, and like I said earlier, I’m not going to let her get settled. We’re going to fight my fight, and I’ll be taking the belts home.”
When speaking about the fight card tonight in Florida, made up of an all-female boxing fights, Robinson said it was “surreal”.
“It’s actually surreal. I was talking about it earlier, you dream of moments like this when you’re a young kid boxing in the amateurs, looking up at all the professionals, thinking, ‘Oh, this, you know, one of this is going to be me one day’,” she said further.
“Now we’re living it. It’s actually really, really cool, and I’m so thankful.”
