NASA’s March plan calls for a phased lunar base built around commercial deliveries, surface mobility, power, communications and habitation. It targets a 2028 lunar landing under the revised Artemis architecture, but the agency has not published a launch date for repurposed HALO hardware or Canadarm3 technologies. [1]
The change leaves the projects funded or under active development in different ways, while their original Gateway roles are no longer scheduled. Further contract modifications, technical redesigns and congressional funding decisions will determine whether either contribution reaches the lunar surface.
