The Bachar Houli Foundation is partnering with WA Football to host the Bachar Houli National Senior Boys Academy WA Trial Day on Friday 28 August.

The event, for Muslim boys aged 15 to 18, will be held at Grenville Reserve at WA Football in Tuart Hill from 4.30pm-7pm.

Bachar Houli (Founder and Head Coach), Ahmed Saad (Programs and High Performance) and Ali Fahour (Co-Founder and General Manager) will be in attendance to assess the boys and select four nominations to go through to the National Senior Boys Academy in Melbourne.

Those players will join WA’s first confirmed nomination, Naka Herwanto, a State U16 squad player.

Houli, Saad and Fahour will be in WA on August 28 and 29.

The trio are scheduled to meet with Fremantle list member and WAFL Peel Thunder player Adam Sweid during their visit.

Pinar Komur, Multicultural and Bachar Houli Programs Officer at WA Football, has declared the Trial Day a great opportunity for young Muslim players.

“These types of events provide a wonderful chance for boys to showcase their ability,” Komur said.

“WA Football is proud to work with the Bachar Houli Foundation to be part of this initiative.”
