Towering center joins Bartzokas’ squad as injury and absences leave frontcourt gaps
By Eurohoops team /Â info@eurohoops.net
Olympiacos have announced that Khalifa Christ Koumadje will join the team’s preparations and be available to head coach Georgios Bartzokas during preseason.
His profile is particularly relevant now, as Olympiacos are without injured big man Moustapha Fall—another towering center with similar characteristics—while Nikola Milutinov and Kostas Antetokounmpo are with their national teams ahead of EuroBasket.
The 29-year-old, 2.21m center from Chad is well known to EuroLeague fans after his three-year spell with ALBA Berlin from 2021 to 2024.
This past season, he appeared in five games before parting ways with the German club and finishing the year in the Chinese Basketball Association (CBA).
Over his EuroLeague career, Koumadje has played in 89 games, averaging 5.7 points, 4.6 rebounds, and nearly a block per game (0.9) in 14 minutes of action.
