A young girl has died after days of fighting for life following a motocross crash in the NSW Southern Tablelands.

Emergency services were called to a motorbike park in Jerrong, about 65km south of Oberon, around 12pm on Saturday following reports of a crash involving two motorcycles.

The nine-year-old girl, who was one of the riders, suffered serious head injuries and was treated by paramedics at the scene.

She was flown to Westmead Hospital in a critical condition, where she remained for several days before dying on Wednesday.

A crime scene was established following the crash and an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the incident is continuing.

Anyone with information, or CCTV, dashcam or mobile phone footage of the incident, is urged to contact Bathurst Police or Crime Stoppers.
