Three exciting Demons have secured new deals for 2026 .

A TRIO of Demons have been locked in for 2026, with Jai Culley, Andy Moniz-Wakefield and Ricky Mentha Jnr all inking fresh deals with the club.

The three put pen to paper this week, signing on as rookies for next season in the red and blue.

Culley earned an opportunity with Melbourne during the pre-season supplemental selection period earlier this year, having trained with the club across the summer.

The 22-year-old made his club debut in Round 22 and has featured in the games since, adding to his tally of 15 AFL matches – he played 12 with West Coast.

Wearing the No.46 on his back, Culley has impressed with his run and aerial work, bringing a unique flair to the Dees’ mix.

Season 2026 will mark Moniz-Wakefield’s fifth at the club, having joined as a Category B rookie in late 2021.

An unfortunate knee injury in the pre-season, where he ruptured his ACL, PCL and MCL, saw him sidelined for the year, instead shifting his energy and positive outlook to his recovery.

The much-loved character had been reaping the rewards of his work over the pre-season and will be eager to add to his six-game tally in 2026.

Mentha Jnr extends his time at the Dees following an impressive first year at the club.

An agile and crafty small, the 18-year-old was signed as a Category B rookie back in November, the first Demon Academy product from the Alice Springs region.

Mentha Jnr has played 17 matches for the Casey Demons in the VFL, averaging just shy of 12 disposals a game, and is set to feature in the upcoming finals series.

“We’ve been really impressed by Jai, Andy and Ricky this year, for their efforts both on and off the field,” Melbourne AFL List Manager Tim Lamb said.

“What we have seen from Jai and Ricky, as well as Andy during the pre-season, fills us with a lot of confidence for the impact they can have in the future at AFL level. Their attitude through their respective challenges has been just as impressive.

“We look forward to their continued development and what they can each bring in 2026.”
