Kyle Sandilands has insisted he didn’t storm out of his own studio on Friday after technical issues caused his live show to be pulled off-air.
The radio host, 55, shared a video update on Sunday morning to “set the record straight” and alert fans that the team were working hard to get everything on track for the second week of the ambitious project.

“Welcome, it’s Sunday morning,” he began.
“First of all, there was no storm out. I don’t know who I’m storming out to complain to since I’m the boss, I was here the whole time.
“We’re all here on a Sunday morning, and today we’re going to execute the ‘better late than never’ Friday edition of Kyle Sandilands Live.”
The storm out rumours came about after executive producer Jaimee “Mayo” Blazquez and newsreader Brooklyn Ross told subscribers the show had been pulled off-air after multiple technical issues made it unlistenable.
Sandilands wasn’t in the announcement video at the time.
The shock jock continued by thanking a “technical wizard” subscriber who decided to fly from Queensland to Sandilands’ Sydney studio to fix the problem without even being asked.
“A strange, amazing thing happened,” Sandilands said. “He just got on a plane and showed here at the door with his toolkit and all his stuff.”
The host is now positive that the issues have been resolved, and said that any e-mails from app users experiencing problems were being worked through.
He went on to claim those who had created the app in California had sent a “tsunami of emails” through to him, but they had been blocked because the “Australian government thought it was being spammed”.
“If anyone’s having any issues, you are in the queue, and we are trying to iron out everyone’s individual issues,” he concluded.

On Friday, the team had apologised to subscribers for being unable to play the show after a myriad of challenges.
“We were scared this day might come,” Ross began, saying his colleague was “very stressed right now”.
“We’re so sorry that the tech has failed us today because the show that we had planned would have been incredible,” Blazquez added.
She said they didn’t want to push ahead with a show, which listeners have paid a $99 yearly subscription for, that no one could hear.
“We’ve tried a few times, and I think we’re just going to upset you more if we keep coming back and then disappearing again. So we’ve decided today to not take the show to air,” Blazquez said.
The team would use the weekend to “get everything sorted” before returning to regularly scheduled shows next week.
