Kathmandu. Nepali woman MMA fighter Susmita Thapa Magar has registered a historic victory in professional Mixed Martial Arts (MMA). In the competition under Ronin FC-3 held in Bengaluru, India last night, Susmita defeated local player Shalu Sharma to make a victorious start in professional MMA.
With this, Susmita has become the first Nepali woman player to achieve victory in professional MMA. By winning her debut match in her professional career, she has created a new record in the history of Nepali women’s MMA.
Susmita from Gandaki Province started her sports journey with Taekwondo. After that, she has also competed in Kickboxing and Muay Thai and has showcased her abilities in various competitions.
Susmita, who has gained experience in multiple fighting disciplines, has now made an impressive start in the professional journey of MMA as well. By defeating her Indian opponent in her debut match in Ronin FC-3, she has also shown the potential of Nepali women fighters at the international level.
Susmita’s victory, achieving historic success in her first match in professional MMA, is also being seen as an important achievement for Nepali martial arts.
