New Delhi, Aug. 18 (SANA) Syria’s youth basketball team lost 92-68 to Bahrain on Monday in the third round of the Asia Cup in Ahmedabad, India.
Syria defeated Lebanon 72-64 in the second round after losing its opening match 67-58 to New Zealand, finishing third in its group at the end of the group stage.
The tournament features 16 teams divided into four groups. The winners of the four groups qualify directly for the quarterfinals, while the second- and third-placed teams compete in a qualifying playoff for places in the same round.
