Manchester United head into the final week of the transfer window with a few problems that still need solving.
Manchester United may struggle to make any further signings after spending around £200m on Benjamin Sesko, Bryan Mbeumo and Matheus Cunha, but there are some outgoings that need to be sorted.
Antony is a United outcast, but, somehow, he remains at the club, while Jadon Sancho needs to find a new team as well.
Jadon Sancho has had options this summer, but, as of yet, he’s still a United player.
Speaking on the Ranks FC Ultras Podcast, Dean Jones has been discussing Sancho’s situation at United, and he says that the winger actually wants to become a free agent at some point.

Jones shared what he knows about Sancho and his situation.
According to the journalist, Sancho wants to be in a situation where he is a free agent in order to control his own destiny and potentially make more money.
“Roma are still trying to sign Jadon Sancho, even though he has rejected them, they haven’t totally given up on him, he doesn’t seem interested from what I’ve heard,” Jones said.
“What on earth is Jadon Sancho doing?” His co-host said.
“He’s waiting to become a free agent, he wants to become a free agent so he can earn more money and pick his next club,” Jones added.
“He just wants a straight loan deal, because then it’s in his hands to sort out his own future, if he signs an obligation it doesn’t benefit him.”
Jadon Sancho needs to be careful
Jadon Sancho really does need to be careful if he’s taking this approach.
Yes, the £73m man set up for life in terms of the money he has already made from football, but his career will seriously suffer if he doesn’t play his cards right here.
A team like Roma would be perfect for Sancho, a manager like Gian Piero Gasperini could really help him rediscover his best form, and he’d be playing top-level football regularly away from a difficult environment like Old Trafford.
However, if Sancho spends another year in the wilderness and unsettled, if he becomes a free agent next year, there’s no guarantee that he will have clubs like Roma after him.
Sancho has been underperforming for years at this point, and clubs won’t be queuing up to sign him next summer if he’s demanding big wages and a big signing on fee.
We’ve seen this play out before. David De Gea had to take a year out after leaving Manchester United on a free transfer, and he had much more credit in the bank than Sancho does right now.
Sancho isn’t taking the correct steps if he wants to get his career back on track.
