Hitz 93.9 has increased its overall lead as the #1 station in the latest Xtra Insights survey for Bundaberg, Queensland (+1.3% to 33.1) – to remain well ahead of Triple M Bundy and 4BU.

Long-running Hitz 93.9 duo Matthew ‘Matty’ Ambrose and Tracey Sergiacomi enjoyed a cracker of a book, extending their lead in Breakfast (+1.3% to 34.9), with Triple M Bundy’s Jacob & El second and continuing to make ground (+1.7% to 18.7) and 4BU’s Victoria Clarke third in this timeslot (+2.0% to 12.9). Fourth-placed ABC Wide Bay took a significant hit in Breakfast (-4.0% to 7.2).

It was an outstanding book for 4BU, which saw a massive gain in Mornings (+6.0% to 18.1) and Afternoons (+5.4% to 15.3), continuing into Drive and Evenings.

Jim Ybema, Hitz 93.9 and 1332 4BU General Manager, said: “A brilliant result for both the Hitz 93.9 and 4BU teams today. I’m incredibly proud of the effort this talented group has put in, and it’s extremely rewarding to see that hard work reflected in the stations’ highest-ever audiences.”

Mark Johnson, Hitz 93.9 and 1332 4BU Content Director, said: “Matty and Trace are the most active show in Bundy, and today’s record-breaking results reflect just how much the audience values their long-standing investment in the community. Our commitment to quality local radio has been rewarded across both brands, and we couldn’t be more grateful. Thank you, Bundy.”

Triple M Bundy also enjoyed gains in Mornings and Drive.

Phil Bradley, Head of Triple M Regional Content said:

“Jacob & El, our Triple M Breakfast duo, have been passionately connecting with the Bundaberg community and it’s great to see their engagement reflected in today’s survey result. From keeping the region updated when Bundaberg flooded, finding the smartest street in the Battle of Bundy, to helping local school kids starting their day right with their very own tuckshop, Jacob & El have shown what a great live and local radio show looks like.“

“We love making great radio for our Bundy community, and we’re proud to have more people tuning into Triple M for Breakfast and to have Bundaberg’s #1 Drive show for Men 25-54 (increasing 4.3 points).”
