TRIPLE Eight will continue to count global giant Red Bull as a naming rights sponsor into the foreseeable future thanks to a three-year contract extension.

Having first joined forces with the Brisbane team in 2013, Red Bull has become a fixture on the Supercars grid through Triple Eight Commodores, Camaros and now Mustangs.

The team and sponsor recently wrapped up a major collaboration involving a four-pronged European tour through Ireland, England, Austria and Latvia.

“Red Bull is one of the biggest and most respected forces in sports marketing anywhere in the world, so when they choose to back you for another three years, that’s not something we take lightly,” said Triple Eight managing director Jamie Whincup.

“It’s a credit to every single person in this team, and it tells you exactly where we’re taking this partnership next.

“This partnership has always been about more than racing. It’s been about sharing the journey with Red Bull, the successes and the challenges alike, and telling the story to fans here and everywhere else this sport reaches.

“History matters, but for me this extension is about what’s next. We’re not here to protect what we’ve built – we’re here to take this partnership to another level, on the track and off it.

“On track, that means pushing the whole operation harder than we ever have. Red Bull back people who are willing to take that risk and back their ideas, and that’s exactly the kind of partner you want when you’re trying to lead, not follow.

This new deal is due to cover the 2027, 2028 and 2029 seasons.

Co-naming rights backer Ampol’s current commitment runs through to the end of next year.
