FC Porto began preparations for the new basketball season this Thursday, with the first training session taking place at the Dragão Arena. Fernando Sá had nine players from the national championship-winning squad at his disposal and also called up four youth academy players to work with the first team.

Miguel Queiroz and Vlad Voytso, both Portugal internationals, as well as Childe Dundão, the Angolan signing for this season, are currently on international duty with their respective national teams and have not yet joined training. Francisco Faria, João Cunha, Francisco Leite and David Giesta were the academy players promoted to train with the senior team.

The start of preparations was preceded by the usual medical examinations and fitness tests, carried out by the blue-and-white players at the Dragão Clinic.
