Instead, a three-year, $62M contract extension is being viewed as a “sweet spot” for both sides.
Hart has been extension-eligible for the Knicks since Aug. 10. He is currently playing under a four-year, $80 million extension, with the 2027-28 season being a team option.
He averaged 12.0 points, 7.4 rebounds, 4.8 assists, and 1.1 steals across 66 games for the Knicks this past NBA season, shooting an efficient 50.8% from the field and a career-best 41.3% from the three-point line.
