Kirby and the Forgotten Land still hands out free loot through its Present Code system, and the list of working passwords has grown since the game’s original 2022 debut. The codes are typed in at Waddle Dee-liveries, a delivery counter in Waddle Dee Town, and cover both the original Nintendo Switch release and last year’s upgraded Nintendo Switch 2 Edition + Star-Crossed World. Present Codes can be entered to receive rewards such as Star Coins, Starry Coins, Rare Stones, Food Items, or Stock Items, submitted to Delivery Waddle Dee at Waddle Dee-liveries in Waddle Dee Town.

How Waddle Dee-liveries Unlocks and Why Capitalisation Matters

The counter does not open immediately. Waddle Dee-liveries is one of the first facilities that will be rebuilt in town, but Kirby will need to rescue at least 50 Waddle Dees before this post office is open for business. Once it is open, spelling counts.

Present Codes are case sensitive, so Kirby will have to type them in all caps to claim his prizes. Get five different codes right and there’s a bonus on top. After entering a total of 5 Present Codes, you will get a Figure of Delivery Waddle Dee, needed to complete all the Volume 1 Figures in the game.

Permanent Codes Like FIRSTPASSWORD and BRAWLINGCOLOSSEUM Never Expire

Several codes have no expiry date and are hidden in plain sight around Waddle Dee Town. FIRSTPASSWORD appears behind the two Waddle Dees near Waddle Dee-liveries, KIRBYSTORY sits in the bottom right corner of the Cinema near the pamphlets, and BRAWLINGCOLOSSEUM is on top of the tent in front of the Colosseum. Two more unlock later: THANKYOUMETAKNIGHT appears on the Colosseum wall after beating the main story, while THANKYOUKIRBY shows up behind the gold statue once every Waddle Dee is rescued.

Some passwords double as series easter eggs. The password CRYSTALSHARDS was added to celebrate the release of Kirby 64: The Crystal Shards on Nintendo Switch Online, giving Food Items that the main characters eat at the end of each stage. KIRBYSTORY nods elsewhere in Nintendo’s library too. It’s a potential reference to Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga, whose Yoshi Theater displays posters for movies featuring other Nintendo franchises including Kirby Story.

STARCROSSEDWORLD Delivers 800 Star Coins for Switch 2 Edition Owners

The paid upgrade changed the code list too. Nintendo confirmed the release plan on its Switch 2 Direct. Nintendo announced Kirby and the Forgotten Land – Nintendo Switch 2 Edition + Star-Crossed World for Switch 2, launching August 28, with owners of the original game able to upgrade by purchasing the game’s upgrade pack from Nintendo eShop, My Nintendo Store, or retailers.

Tied to that launch is a code exclusive to the expansion. Miketendo64’s ongoing tracker lists STARCROSSEDWORLD as worth Star Coin x800, one Rare Stone and Starry Coin x300, alongside THANKYOUFORPLAYING, which grants Star Coin x800, three Rare Stones and a Maxim Tomato. Both remain permanent entries rather than time-limited drops.

READYTOGO and KIRBYAIRRIDERS Show How Fast Limited Codes Vanish

Not every code sticks around. Nintendo America uploaded a present code on Twitter which grants 800 Star Coins, 1 Rare Stone, and 1 Life Up when redeemed: READYTOGO. That one is now gone. Nintendo offered the limited-time Present Code READYTOGO that rewards players with 800 Star Coins, a Rare Stone, and a Life Up around the Switch 2 Edition’s launch window, and tracking sites list it as expired since August 24, 2025.

A code tied to Kirby Air Riders followed the same pattern, running only until January 20, 2026, before lapsing. Nintendo has continued cycling in short-lived passwords through 2026, usually via its Kirby social accounts and the in-game Kirby and the Forgotten Land Channel, so codes still active today can disappear within weeks.

Australia and New Zealand Get a Matching Kirby Merch Push

The Switch 2 relaunch had a retail flow-on effect locally too. Nintendo extended its Kirby line on the My Nintendo Store in Australia and New Zealand, adding all sorts of new items including a Kirby Tumbler and multiple Kirby Plush
