Lucas Herrington has joined an exclusive club.

The 18-year-old made his Premier League debut as newly promoted Hull City hosted Manchester United on Saturday night, little more than a week after completing his record-breaking move from Colorado Rapids.

As he stepped onto the pitch at the MKM Stadium just after the hour mark, Herrington became the latest Australian to feature in the world’s biggest domestic competition – and the third-youngest to do so, behind only Harry Kewell and Aiden O’Neill.

From Kewell, Mark Viduka and Tim Cahill to Mark Schwarzer, Lucas Neill and Brett Emerton, Australians were once a regular presence in England’s top flight.

That production line has slowed considerably in recent years, making Herrington’s arrival at Hull all the more significant.

But just how many Australians have actually played in the Premier League?

Football360 has gone back through the competition’s history to compile the complete list of Australians to make a Premier League appearance, ordered chronologically from the competition’s inaugural 1992-93 season through to today.
