The Falcons rolled over the Colts in a lopsided 34-6 victory in the early afternoon. However, the game didn’t involve either of the two Atlanta quarterbacks who are “competing” for the starting job.
Free-agent addition Tua Tagovailoa has, to this point, led the competition by default, as Michael Penix Jr. has been recovering from a torn ACL. However, the complexion of the race is set to change on Sunday.
According to head coach Kevin Stefanski, Penix has been cleared for 11-on-11 drills and will practice on Monday.
