Today, 2K unveiled the first Season of NBA® 2K27, the latest iteration of the NBA video game franchise developed by Visual Concepts and published by 2K. Season 1 features Victor Wembanyama – San Antonio Spurs superstar, the 2025-2026 unanimous Defensive Player of the Year, and NBA 2K27’s Standard Edition cover athlete – as the headliner. Every game played in Season 1 earns XP toward a new wave of content across The City and MyTEAM.
NBA 2K27 Season 1 Rewards and Updates
The City: With every game played in Season 1, players earn XP and climb the rewards ladder toward unlocks like Skill Boosts, MyPLAYER cosmetics, Cap Breakers, and all-new Badge Tokens. Featured rewards include the Level 16 Orange Swirl Hoverboard, Level 29 Cyber Robot Eyes, Level 36 ‘Prowl’ – Minnesota Lynx Mascot, Level 39 Ninja Suit: Apprentice, and more.
Season 1 Events in The City: 2XREP Weekends and other limited-time events are back in Season 1. Players can compete and finish games in Casual Corner, The REC, The Theater, Ante-Up, Proving Grounds, and Crew Divisions in Crew HQ to receive 2XREP rewards. Additional events this Season include Midway, a performance-based game where rewards are tied to different challenges, and Blackout, where players fill out lines on a Bingo card for rewards like VC, Skill Boosts, exclusive apparel, and more.
MyTEAM: With the Expanded Exchange in MyTEAM this year, players can exchange any Player Cards (Free Agent cards excluded), even cards earned from Season level rewards, for elite rewards. Build a balanced opening roster of dominant bigs, three-point snipers, and shifty scorers. The Season 1 rewards include a Level 1 Amethyst Bam Adebayo (Miami Heat), Level 28 Amethyst Coach Mike Brown (New York Knicks), Level 35 Dark Matter Olivia Miles (Minnesota Lynx), culminating with a to Level 40 Dark Matter Derrick Rose (Chicago Bulls). Players can also exchange eligible Player Cards through the Season 1 Premier Exchange to earn an exclusive Dark Matter Tracy McGrady card.
Season 1 Pro Pass & Hall of Fame Pass: Players can unlock 40 additional levels of rewards, including automatic unlocks such as a Dragonfire Mask, Dragonfire Sleeveless Tee, and a 91 OVR Diamond Jimmy Butler card. Premium rewards include the Cyber Robot Facepaint at Level 3, ‘Go the Gorilla’ – Phoenix Suns Mascot at Level 30, and a Pro Pass Dark Matter Derrick Rose at Level 40.
New York Soundtrack: Inspired by the sounds of Rucker Park, Season 1 features a dedicated soundtrack highlighting New York hip-hop icons. Players can experience the court’s unique basketball and hip-hop heritage through a dynamic East Coast soundtrack featuring artists from Busta Rhymes to Mobb Deep and more.
