Multiple huge fights broke out during a NFL pre-season joint practice scrimmage between the Green Bay Packers and Seattle Seahawks on Friday morning.

NFL teams generally pair up quite frequently over the off-season in these training sessions, but this one in Green Bay, Wisconsin turned ugly, with haymakers thrown and Packers tackle Zach Tom kicked out of the building.

The ugly brawls broke out multiple times across the two-hour practice, as many reporters and fans looked on.

“I mean, they were in our huddle and I saw somebody on my left get hit so I just reacted,” Tom told reporters in the aftermath.

“It’s already disrespectful that they’re in our huddle … and then somebody gets hit while we’re in the huddle, got to have some pride, you know?”

Seahawks coach Mike Macdonald played down the situation, saying he was happy with how his team handled it.

“It’s hard to tell what happened, who said what,” he said.

“Look, you want your guys to defend their (teammates). There’s a line. Whether we go past the line, I don’t think we did, which is good.

“Our guys stayed composed. But some of these things do tend to happen, and however it gets started … hopefully it’s not our guys, but people are going to react to a certain extent. I think our guys handled it pretty well.”

Packers coach Matt LaFleur was a little more frustrated with the chaos that unfolded.

“It’s disappointing. You want to have competitive yet disciplined team and things happen on the field I know and sometimes you don’t know exactly what happens out there, but you’ve got to keep your poise and if you throw punches, you’re out,” LaFleur told the Up and Adams show.

“I saw a mosh pit of a lot of things going on. It’s never good.”

No injuries have been reported in the aftermath.

The two teams will meet in a pre-season match on Sunday morning.
