Formulating a Super Rugby Pacific draw can be fiendishly complicated and sports fans now get to experience that unique joy for themselves with the launch of The Full 80 Fixture Predictor, powered by Komo.
With thefull80.com going live today, fans are being asked to predict all 80 matches of the 2027 Super Rugby Pacific regular season ahead of the release of the official draw next month.
That means working through all 17 rounds and predicting every home and away match-up, with no clues, minimal shortcuts and very little sympathy.
The fan who comes closest to cracking the actual draw will win a 2027 Super Rugby Pacific Grand Final experience for two, including return flights, accommodation and tickets to the biggest game of the season.
The Full 80 will be open for entries until Monday 7 September, before the official 2027 draw reveals the individual who has ventured deepest into the Super Rugby Pacific psyche.
It will test fans’ knowledge of the competition and scheduling patterns, as well as their willingness to spend an unreasonable amount of time thinking about stadium availability.
Super Rugby Pacific CEO Jack Mesley said he expected The Full 80 to generate a wide variety of responses ahead of the release of the 2027 draw.
“Sports leagues around the world are constantly striving to deliver new and unique fan experiences and there can be no doubt The Full 80 meets that criteria,” Mesley said.
“We’re genuinely excited with how the 2027 Super Rugby Pacific draw is shaping up and now – for the first time – our fans can get a taste of that draw building journey.
“There may be a good reason why we’ve never seen this done before but by the time we contemplated that possibility, our friends at Komo had already built the thing.
“What can’t be questioned is there’s a brilliant prize – and potentially a job at head office – waiting for whoever navigates The Full 80 and lands closest to the official draw.”
The Full 80 Fixture Predictor is accepting submissions now at thefull80.com.
