BBC Radio 5 Live and BBC Sounds will have live audio coverage of one of the most anticipated heavyweight fights of the summer as unbeaten rising star Moses Itauma takes on Filip Hrgović on Saturday 29 August.
Ugo Monye will present the clash and will be joined by lead commentator Ronald McIntosh, as well as co-commentators Steve Bunce and former super-middleweight world champion Richie Woodhall.
Audiences will also be able to experience the fight via BBC Sport’s first-ever live boxing watch-along. Nick Peet, Team GB Olympian and unbeaten cruiserweight Pat Brown, and BoxingwithSteph’s Steph Kamale will be live throughout the night to share their reactions to every big moment of one of boxing’s most talked-about fights.
The watch-along will act as a companion to the live event, with the trio providing their own live reaction, discussion, analysis and debate throughout the evening. The BBC will not be showing live visual footage of the fight.
Boxing fans can access the watch-along through BBC Sport’s YouTube channel, the BBC Sport website and BBC iPlayer and will be able to get involved throughout the stream with their own views, opinions and questions across BBC Sport’s digital and social platforms. The BBC Sport live text page will also offer a destination for viewers to have their say.
At 21, Itauma is one of the most exciting young heavyweights in boxing and takes an unbeaten 14-0 record, including 12 knockouts, into the biggest fight of his career. Hrgović, meanwhile, brings a wealth of experience, with 20 professional wins and an Olympic bronze medal from Rio 2016.
Victory would make Itauma the second-youngest heavyweight world champion in history, behind only Mike Tyson.
