EastEnders spoilers follow for Thursday’s episode (27 August), which is available to watch now on streaming service BBC iPlayer and hasn’t yet aired on TV.
EastEnders has finally confirmed who the father of Priya Nandra-Hart‘s baby is in tonight’s (27 August) episode. The character recently learned that she was pregnant, though isn’t sure whether the dad is fiancé Ravi Gulati or Max Branning.
Earlier this week, she enlisted the help of Jean Slater to get DNA from the two men to determine the paternity, though only managed to get a sample from Max, with whom Priya has been having an affair.

In tonight’s episode, which is available now on BBC iPlayer, Ravi proposes he and Priya go out for lunch and tell the kids about their engagement, though she claims she’s too busy to do so. Ravi then suggests they stay in and have a takeaway that evening instead, which she agrees to.
Later on while having their dinner, Ravi notices that Priya is distracted by her phone (unaware of her anxious wait for the secret test results).
“You know I love you, like I love you,” he then tells her. “If you’re having second thoughts about anything, you know you can tell me?”
“No second thoughts, no regrets, I promise,” Priya reassures Ravi. “I love you too.”

However, after Ravi gets up to clean his plate, Priya receives a text message, which confirms that Max is the father. She then tries to hide her shock as she looks over at her fiancé.
Is the truth about to blow up both her and Max’s relationships, and will Priya be able to keep it a secret?
It comes after Jean recently suggested that Priya tell the truth to Max if he turned out to be the father, to which she agreed. Will she honour that?
