ATHENS, Ga. — The Georgia men’s cross country team and women’s tennis team are the 2025-26 Faculty Athletics Representatives (FAR) award winners for being the male and female teams with the highest GPA for the last academic year.
The cross country squad posted a 3.52 GPA for the year while the tennis team finished the two semesters last year with a 3.663, edging gymnastics (3.660). This marks the 10th award of its kind for the men’s cross country team and first since 2021-22. The women’s tennis team last won this award during the 2012-13 academic year and this marks its third since 1999-2000.
