Apart from the colors, the design is virtually unchanged from the previous model. As before, Huawei has opted for a round display with a narrow, labeled bezel, a metal case with a button, and a digital crown. The X-Tap sensor is also located on the right side. When touched with a finger, it activates all of the smartwatch’s sensors, allowing it to measure heart rate, blood oxygen saturation, and skin temperature, among other things, and to perform an ECG.
The two sensor areas in the X-Tap sensor are slightly larger than on the previous model, suggesting that Huawei is revamping the smartwatch’s sensors. However, no further details are available yet regarding the new features the Huawei Watch 6 will offer. It’s possible that, as with the Huawei Watch GT 7, the hardware upgrades will be limited, and Huawei will focus primarily on new software features.
