Hapoel Tel Aviv has announced a restructured ownership model, reducing Ofer Yannay’s stake as he steps back from daily operations. Investors Gili Raanan, Micky Malka, and Alan Howard have joined the group with equal shares. Stav Shaham has been appointed Club Chairman to oversee day-to-day management.

Hapoel Tel Aviv officially announce a change in ownership structure for Yanay Sports, which holds an 81% stake in the club.

According to an official club statement, under new structure, Ofer Yannay’s shares will be reduced to 40%, while Gili Raanan, Micky Malka and Alan Howard will hold a 20% stake each.

This change in structure will also be reflected in club management, as Raanan, Malka and Howard are expected to take up bigger roles in decision-making for the club.

Day-to-day operations are set to be managed by Club Chairman Stav Shaham, acting on behalf of all shareholders.

Changed ownership structure

After the change the total club share distribution looks like this: Ofer Yannay owns 32.4% of the club, the fans retain 19% of the shares, while Raanan, Malka and Howard all have 16.2% each.

Yannay shared why he has taken a lesser role, citing his CEO work as the main occupation.

“My role as CEO of Nofar Energy no longer allows me to be as involved in the day-to-day management as I was in the past,” he explained.

“Therefore, the shareholders have appointed Stav Shaham as Club Chairman, granting him the mandate to lead management operations. Alongside the shareholders, Stav will guide Hapoel Tel Aviv forward and continue steering the club toward new heights.”

New Club Chairman explained his role while emphasizing a reinforced bond with the fans.

“My responsibility as Chairman is to manage the club on behalf of all shareholders, bring the partners together, and ensure decisions are made with a shared vision for the best interests of Hapoel Tel Aviv,” Shaham added.

“Alongside our high sporting ambitions, we will continue working to reinforce our bond with the fans and community, making Hapoel a stable, achievement-driven club deeply connected to its fanbase.”
