About 130 people have streamed in, including Deputy Premier Rita Saffioti, Energy Minister Amber-Jade Sanderson, and WA Senator Dorinda Cox.
Tree and WA Premier Roger Cook are not expected at the function until later in the evening, when they will deliver a speech.
Meanwhile, Michael Philipps is across town at Luke Herdegen’s function, where One Nation are continuing to stream in.
