Tottenham Hotspur have reportedly reached an agreement in principle to sign Iliman Ndiaye from Everton.
Spurs are also said to be sending Richarlison back to his former club as part of a separate deal. However, both moves reportedly remain subject to the players agreeing on personal terms and passing medicals.
Manchester City have also been credited with an interest in the Senegal international, but are now reportedly in talks to sign Cody Gakpo from Liverpool. Spurs have been linked with the latter this summer transfer window and are now apparently trying to sign Ndiaye before the 11pm deadline on September 1.

The Athletic claims that anonymous sources at both Everton and Spurs say the moves for Ndiaye and Richarlison are not linked. Spurs paid the Merseyside club £50million, plus £10million in potential add-ons, for their Brazilian forward four years ago.
Roberto De Zerbi acknowledged when asked about Richarlison in his press conference after the club’s 2-0 defeat to Newcastle United: “He said too many times that he wants to leave.”
The forward was not in the squad for Saturday evening’s match. Ndiaye, meanwhile, played the full 90 minutes for Everton hours earlier in their 1-1 draw with Bournemouth at Dean Court.

He has started all three of their competitive matches this season. Ndiaye assisted Thierno Barry for the second goal against Crystal Palace on the opening weekend.
The forward is still under contract until the summer of 2029, but has not signed a new deal since signing from Sheffield United two years ago. Ndiaye is reported to have rejected multiple extension offers last season.
Richarlison has also never signed a new deal since arriving at Spurs on a five-year contract. His current terms are due to expire at the end of this season, much like Ben Davies, Dane Scarlett and summer signing Martin Dubravka.
De Zerbi addressed whether there was any way back for Richarlison, as well as Kevin Danso and Pape Matar Sarr, during his post-match press conference on Saturday, after acknowledging that they had asked to leave.
He said: “I love these players, they are great guys, I have very good relationships, but if they want to leave, they have to bring the solution, the economic solution, to the club, and they can go, and we find other players.”
