MOTORSPORT Australia will belatedly release the written reasons for Supercars’ appeal of the Kai Allen tyre pressure case being dismissed.
A high-profile hearing took place on the evening of Monday August 17 at Motorsport Australia’s Melbourne headquarters, after Supercars challenged a stewards decision not to penalise/disqualify Allen for a breach in the Sunday race of the Perth Super440.
A decision was made that night, before being communicated publicly the following morning.
The process stipulated that the court must provide written reasons for dismissing the appeal within 14 days, a timeframe which has now elapsed.

Once that occurred, Supercars had seven days to escalate its appeal to the FIA if it so desired.
V8 Sleuth understands all parties were provided with a formal explanation last week, and that regardless Supercars was highly unlikely to take the matter to Paris.
Motorsport Australia has now confirmed it will publish the determination this Friday, September 4.
That is standard protocol to publicise findings, as happened in early 2023 when Triple Eight unsuccessfully appealed the disqualification of its Red Bull Ampol Camaros from Race 1 of the Newcastle 500.
