The former Milwaukee Bucks forward is signing with Aris Thessaloniki on a 2+1 deal.
Antetokounmpo joins the ambitious new roster of Aris, led by new head coach Vasilis Spanoulis. He is set to play alongside his brother Kostas Antetokounmpo after playing with his other brother Giannis Antetokounmpo on the Bucks since 2019.
He played 34 games for Milwaukee last season after missing the entire 2024-25 season due to injury. He averaged 1.4 points and 0.9 rebounds last year.
Thanasis best statistical season in the NBA came in 2021-22, when he averaged 3.1 points and 1.9 rebounds in almost 9 minutes per game. He is most valued for his locker room presence and effort plays.
Aris are building a real contender for the EuroCup title with EuroLeague players like Stefan Jovic, Nenad Dimitrijevic, Matt Morgan, Vassilis Toliopoulos and Khem Birch.
While some people believed Thanasis would follow his brother, Giannis, to the Miami Heat, he joins his other brother, Kostas, in Greece to play closer to his family and possibly receive more playing time.
