Ben Long’s pressure inside forward 50 was relentless all evening, laying several enormous tackles and making an impact on the scoreboard. He kicked an equal team-high three goals, alongside Ben King who pulled in a number of strong contested marks and passed 60 goals in a season for the first time in his career.
Brayden Fiorini’s strong form continued with a classy performance in midfield, finishing with 27 disposals, seven tackles and three clearances while no player had more score involvements or inside 50s than Touk Miller (eight apiece).
John Noble was clean and efficient throughout the night from his 27 disposals, while Jarrod Witts made an impact both in a ruck battle with Jordan Sweet and around the ground, most crucially with a tidy goal assist in the final term.
