Roberto Soldic claims his foray into the world of boxing is about staying busy and building his profile.
According to the 30-year-old, talks for his next fight with ONE Championship are already well underway.
“Back to MMA,” Soldic said when asked by Bloody Elbow what’s next after his boxing bout with Tomasz Adamek.
“This is only a small adventure. With ONE, it’s great. I had a great talk last week in a meeting with Chatri [Sityodtong] and the matchmakers about something coming up for me and all in ONE. I can’t say anything. They will announce it.
“ONE is great for me. They let me do this fight, which is great for me to stay active. We tried to get a fight in Tokyo, but the card was full already.
“Everything is going good for me and I’m very happy with ONE. Again, thank you to Chatri for letting me do this fight because there’s now really big talk about this fight in Europe, which gives me more followers, sponsors, and money.”
Roberto Soldic questions Dricus du Plessis after UFC 319
Roberto Soldic was surprised to see his two-time rival lose in dominant fashion at UFC 319.
Khamzat Chimaev mauled Dricus du Plessis for five rounds to take his middleweight title last weekend.
How badly ‘DDP’ struggled in the wrestling exchanges has Soldic questioning his latest fight camp.
“I don’t know what they did in the Dricus fight camp about wrestling,” he added.
“It was so easy to take him down. You know, he couldn’t defend any takedown.
“I don’t really know what Dricus did in the fight camp. The wrestling was bad from him.”
