A ludicrous wide receiver core with studs from WR1-6 will be a sure-fire way to explode out of the blocks in SuperCoach NFL season 2026.

NFL fantasy expert Nic Darveniza has spent more than a third of his salary cap on his six starting wide receivers, headlined by the position’s most expensive player Puka Nacua (Los Angeles Rams, $25.09M).

With six superstars priced over $16M and eight cheapies under $5M, it is the year of the mid-ranger for Richardson4MVP.

A shallow rookie class has seen 10 players selected from the ordinarily unfashionable $15.99M-$5.01M price bracket.

Receivers AJ Brown, Malik Nabers and Justin Jefferson, tight ends Brock Bowers and Tyler Warren, and running back Kenneth Walker III could make swimming against the guns-and-cheapies stream profitable and successful in 2026.

QUARTERBACKS

Josh Allen (Buffalo Bills, $30.08M); Lamar Jackson (Baltimore Ravens, $21.88M); Deshaun Watson (Cleveland Browns, $8.63M)

Allen and Jackson shape as set-and-forget starters at SuperCoach’s most lucrative scoring positions. Deshaun Watson is the cheapest Week 1 starter in the game and will be a modest cash cow before No. 1 overall pick Fernando Mendoza leapfrogs Kirk Cousins in Las Vegas – and straight into my QB3 slot.

RUNNING BACKS

Jahmyr Gibbs (Detroit Lions, $24.77M); Bijan Robinson (Atlanta Falcons, $25M); Kenneth Walker III (Kansas City Chiefs, $13.08M); Jeremiyah Love (Arizona Cardinals, $4.95M); Jadarian Price (Seattle Seahawks, $4.55M); Marshawn Lloyd (Green Bay Packers, $4M)

Gibbs and Robinson are the top two running backs in the NFL and every-week captaincy options. Super Bowl MVP KW3 will graduate into a bell cow role for Andy Reid and the Chiefs, giving Richardson4MVP a reliable RB3. Top rookie backs Jeremiyah Love and Jadarian Price can vie for the RB4 slot each week while generating cash for an upgrade to Jonathan Taylor or Christian McCaffrey. Marshawn Lloyd’s second years injured on the sideline have priced him as a rookie despite projecting as Green Bay’s lead back in the (expected) absence of Josh Jacobs (Commissioner’s Exempt List).

I’m not leaving much room for cash cows in the wide receiver corps but it’s hard to envisage which of these six studs would make way for Jaxson Smith-Njigba or Amon-Ra St Brown anyway. The depressed SuperCoach values of Lamb, Brown, Nabers and Jefferson have enabled the stacking of 50 per cent of the NFL’s Top 12 fantasy wide receivers from day one. Tate and Stribling have the best day one opportunities of the rookie class and they will be the cash generators to upgrade one of this All Star Six should the need arise.

TIGHT ENDS

Brock Bowers (Las Vegas Raiders, $15.48M); Tyler Warren (Indianapolis Colts, $11.21M); Isaiah Likely (New York Giants, $5.59M)

Bowers is priced as the fourth-best tight end in NFL SuperCoach, Warren is 14th and Likely is 42nd. They are all top 10 players and Bowers is the No.1. Impossible to ignore that value, especially with emerging rookies Kenyon Sadiq and Eli Stowers on slower burn trajectories.

KICKERS

Trey Smack (Green Bay Packers, $4M); Drew Stevens (Washington Commanders, $3.9M)

Dirt cheap rookies will get the job done. The savings at kicker have fuelled a juggernaut of a starting team. After tossing up between Stevens and New York Giant Dominic Zvada, I was finally convinced by Stevens’ stronger scoring environment at Washington and 12 college career goals from 50+, including a 58-yarder.

DEFENCE/SPECIAL TEAMS

Baltimore Ravens ($7.08M); Dallas Cowboys ($4.3M)

As tempting as the Los Angeles Rams are with Myles Garrett, Aaron Donald, Poona Ford and Byron Young anchoring a ridiculous defensive line, the Ravens and Cowboys are budget-friendly picks who will certainly rise in value over the year. I hope to pick and stick with them but both could be downgraded if needed.
