Two teen girls have been arrested and charged after a girl was allegedly stabbed multiple times during a group brawl outside a primary school in Sydney.
The 17-year-old female has been taken to hospital in a stable condition, and police suspect at least six people were involved in the brawl.
The brawl broke out near Blacktown West Public School – which accommodates for grades from kindergarten to year six – about 2.30pm on Friday.
The girl, who isn’t believed to be affiliated with the school, entered school grounds to get help as her alleged attackers fled the scene.
Paramedics treated her for multiple stab wounds, before taking her to Westmead Hospital in a stable condition.
Later the same day, two teenage girls aged 15 and 17 were arrested at Mount Druitt Police Station.
Police said a vehicle allegedly used to flee the scene was searched and a knife was seized.
The 17-year-old was charged with wounding a person with intent to cause grievous bodily harm and affray, and she was refused bail to appear at a children’s court on Saturday.
The 15-year-old was charged with affray and granted conditional bail to appear before a children’s court on September 14.
A spokeswoman for the school told NewsWire staff had been told not to comment.
Police are looking for a car they suspect is linked to the brawl, which was seen leaving the area.
Police have asked anybody with footage of the fight to come forward.
