New York | Hugging Face’s three French founders have emerged as billionaires after the artificial intelligence platform agreed to be acquired by Nvidia, a decade after they started the company with an entirely different focus.
Clement Delangue, 38, Julien Chaumond, 42, and Thomas Wolf, 41, will each have a net worth of about $US1.8 billion ($2.5 billion), according to the Bloomberg Billionaires Index, after Nvidia agreed to buy the start-up in a transaction valued at roughly $US13 billion ($18 billion).
