The 2026 US Open is in full swing in Queens, New York, and this year’s tournament is already delivering exciting, and undeniably stylish, moments.

Serena Williams returned to the court alongside Carlos Alcaraz, who is also competing again after an injury forced him to miss this year’s Wimbledon. The pair stepped out in striking, coordinated Nike looks in royal purple and black. Roger Federer played an exhibition match for the ages with Lorenzo Musetti at Arthur Ashe Stadium, while also unveiling a limited-edition version of The Roger sneakers created in collaboration with On. He then headed to Rhode Island, where he was inducted into the International Tennis Hall of Fame.

Over the next few days, some of the biggest names in world tennis will take to the hard courts of Flushing Meadows, including world No. 1 Aryna Sabalenka, Naomi Osaka, Coco Gauff, Venus Williams, Taylor Fritz and many more. The Williams sisters were among those who led the move away from traditional white tennis attire. Gauff debuted her latest New Balance and Miu Miu collaboration on the grass courts of London, while Sabalenka is a Gucci ambassador, Fritz represents BOSS and Novak Djokovic is the face of Lacoste.

Then there is Osaka, who makes sure that every entrance onto the court carries meaning, along with a strong fashion component. For her first match during her latest Wimbledon appearance, she arrived in a custom kimono-inspired dress designed by Hana Yagi. “I love using fashion as a storytelling tool,” she told Vogue at the time. Her first two entrances onto the court at this year’s US Open were equally striking. For the first, she wore a custom creation by Who Decides War, followed by Thom Browne for the second.

Taylor Townsend has also emerged as one of this year’s tournament fashion stars. For her tennis looks, she works with designer Anthony Lattimore, who creates dresses inspired by majorette uniforms, embellished with sequins and fringe that can withstand even the most demanding performances on the court. “I look good, I feel good, I play good… On the court and off the court, I like to get dressed up and show a good outfit,” Townsend told reporters.
