Final game of the AFL season
This Saturday marks the final game of the season for our AFL team as they head west to take on West Coast in Perth on Saturday evening.
In good news for the team, ruckman Brodie Grundy will return to the side after missing last week’s match after sustaining a concussion against the Lions in Round 22.
Coach Dean Cox said the side were looking to finish off the season in the best way possible.
AFLW team head north for Round 2
Sydney-siders haven’t seen much of the sunshine this week but our AFLW team will face the Suns on Saturday afternoon on the Gold Coast.
The team will be looking to continue the form that saw them have an impressive Round 1 win against the Tigers.Â
Tanya Kennedy will play her 25th game for the club in the fixture, watch the feature below on the Irishwoman’s journey to the AFLW.

AFLW Debutant Amelia Martin
This week will see 18-year old forward Amelia Martin make her AFLW debut. Hailing from Wollongong, Martin was drafted by the Swans with pick 56 in the 2024 AFLW draft. She joined the QBE Swans Academy when she was just ten years old and is the first player to play for the Swans from the inaugural year of the Youth Girls program which started in 2018.
Hamilton earns Goal of the Year Nomination
And finally, in other good news Swans forward Cynthia Hamilton has claimed the Round 1 Goal of the Year nomination after her amazing goal at North Sydney Oval last Friday night. Here it is one more time…
