TRACK limits are bound to be a talking point this weekend in a knock-on effect of Supercars’ switch onto The Bend’s West Circuit.
V8 Sleuth understands that the exit of Turn 6 – which is now a sharp right-hander – will be policed via sensors.
Any car that crosses the relevant line at that section of track with all four wheels will have its lap deleted.
By contrast, the entry to Turn 6 is considered fair game, with drivers free to take a wide route.
Officials will monitor the effectiveness and accuracy of sensors during Supercars Practice 1, scheduled for 11:25am local (11:55am AEST).
Supercars are currently on track for a dedicated session to bed in an emergency batch of brake pads.
