Home security has become a major focus for a lot of Australians and with more than 360 million cameras sold globally, EZVIZ is expanding their offering in Australia with a huge range of smart home security products.
Jock Jones is the country manager for EZVIZ ANZ and says there are certain trends in the market that he believes they are in a great position to solve.

The entryway into our homes for a lot of people is the first place they consider having a camera and more often than not this takes the form of a doorbell cam.
Jock Jones says that EZVIZ has a particular edge on it’s competitors for a feature they do not offer. “there is no subscriptions, when you buy the product it comes with built-in memory and then that’s it. So there’s no added cost to the consumer after their purchase”
The EP8 Ultra is an AI-powered video doorbell that provides peace of mind with it’s dual lenses and facial recognition. It also has a handy feature that honestly I’m surprised we dont see more often — a built in voice changer for privacy. Jones says that this feature is particularly good for young women or kids that might be more vulnerable “If you’re a teenager at home alone and your answer with the doorbell, you can mask your voice with AI, so there won’t know that you’re home alone.”

In the smart lock space there was a very interesting smart lock I got to try out by EZVIZ called the DL50 FVX. Not exactly the catchiest name, but when I saw it in action I was very impressed.
The DL50 is a real swiss army knife of smart locks, with a variety of different ways you can choose to unlock your door:

Having so many options for entry gives a lot of peace of mind.
Lost keys are no longer an issue, ironically I am writing this section in the hotel after just leaving my room key on the bench and needing to get another from reception. This smart lock was made for people like me!

On top of the sophisticated locking mechanism, the DL50 FVX has two cameras on it — one at the top to see who is at the door and one on the bottom to see packages that are left at your door. Both camera feeds can be viewed remotely via the app or on the screen on the internal side of the door.
Overall I was very impressed at the EZVIZ DL50 FVX Smart Lock and would definitely recommend it to anyone looking to upgrade their home to be smarter and more secure.
